I’m going to start posting an image a week of some paintings I’ve done or am working on. Sometimes I’ll post more, sometimes less.

Here’s a new direction I’m going in. Realistic-ish under paintings with more gesturally layering of paint on top.

Went over to a friend’s studio and did some paintings. I’m naturally a very detailed and meticulous person when it comes to design so I’m trying to be more loose and “stream of consciousness” in my paintings. I used to paint very detailed and tried to get true to life, but it’s way more fun to be messy.

Diatom Studio is creating an open-source software tool that allows anyone to easily design and build their own digitally fabricated furniture called SketchChair.

As a lover of furniture and especially chairs I can’t wait to see this progress further. They are looking for backing on Kickstarter and have already exceeded their goal. rad.

I love these paper tattoos by Danish artist Jacob Dahlstrup. I’ve never seen anything like this and it’s very clever with an amazing fluffy embossing quality. His other art is pretty great too.
