I just transferred my blog over to http://www.posterous.com from wordpress. I was waiting for the customization option and now it’s here.
All images are from http://www.graphic-exchange.com/ . I frequent that site a lot as there’s always amazing design showcased. I’ll probably pull design from there once in a while to show.

Took a letterpress workshop at The Arm NYC this past Sunday and it was super fun. It’s only 2 blocks from my house and now I can go there whenever I want, pay $15/hr and print my own work. NYC is getting better everyday.
There was an array of wood and metal type. You can also get plates made from your art (elsewhere) and print from that.
Handset metal type. It makes you appreciate the art before computers. It’s REALLY difficult and time consuming to handset type, especially if you mix and match typefaces. I created these fun business cards on the C&P Pilot press. It’s actually really small and simple to use. I’ll own one of these someday.

I’m taking a workshop at The Arm NYC and am very excited to be hands on in the process of letterpress. I’m definitely a hands-on kind of person and too much computer screen time hurts my brain. Excited to use their facilities after this workshop.
