I love these paper tattoos by Danish artist Jacob Dahlstrup. I’ve never seen anything like this and it’s very clever with an amazing fluffy embossing quality. His other art is pretty great too.

I love the art of Alex Kopps. My wife bought me a print of his for my birthday a couple years ago at Mollusk Surfshop in SF when we lived there. It has the flow and feeling of the ocean although with no direct reference. Here’s a select group of images from his site.

Well before I even knew what “design” was I started dabbling with the letterform. This is probably one of my last “productions” while in Copenhagen with a few friends back in 1999. I pretty much stopped painting on walls after that, although I’m itching to have some legal fun again.

I think every designer (especially web designers) should check out this book called Explorations in Typography / Mastering the Art of Fine Typesetting. I’m about to pre-order it after looking through the clean, simple and relevant site – http://explorationsintypography.com.

It’ll be a nice addition outside the world of online knowledge and inspiration.
