I’ve been looking around for some inspiration for a beer label I’m designing. It’s going to be a fun little project for a small run of beer I’m making. I found some of these old labels here.

New blog alert. Leah Koransky, friend and fellow designer just launched a new blog called graphicalize that will sure be a bookmark item.

I’d like to dig deeper, discover connections and find out why and how creative people make the things they do and arrive at their visual solutions.

Émigré has a new type specimen book out. Looks interesting although the samples have a little too much outer glow for my taste. I agree with Émigré in that any font can be successfully combined with any other font.

It’s a matter of how you use the fonts in combination. Size, color, tracking, contrast, layout and overall purpose determine how fonts can be combined successfully.
